Spotted first by XboxEra, a batch of new games was recently added to the old Xbox storefront, which hasn’t seen any new titles since 2019 (the year Microsoft dropped the backwards compatibility program to focus on the Xbox Series X|S), other than the seven OG Xbox games we previously reported on back in October. Here is the list of titles that have popped up on the storefront and our scanners:
- Dead or Alive
- Manhunt
- Max Payne
- Max Payne 2
- Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee
- Red Dead Revolver
- Star Wars: Clone Wars
- Star Wars: Episode III
- Thrillville
Dead or Alive 2/Dead or Alive Ultimate and Dead or Alive 3, which were in the first batch of games we found in October, seem to have also reappeared here. All of the games above have been listed with a November 10th release date, with the exception of DoA 3, which has a November 15th release date (the same day as the Xbox 20th anniversary stream).
It’s worth remembering here that this store activity doesn’t confirm anything — it could simply be Microsoft testing something out. However, with the previous seven OG Xbox games found in October and the two Xbox 360 titles that were recently updated with backwards compatibility IDs, eyebrows are being raised.
Which OG Xbox games would you like to see be made backwards compatible? Let us know down in the comments!
