Irish tournament organiser Legion Esports + Media and Dublin esports organisation Nativz Gaming have announced a new strategic partnership.
The deal will see the existing Legion Collegiate Esports Series taken over by Nativz Gaming. This series has included the likes of League of Legends, Valorant, CSGO, Rainbow Six Siege, F1 and Rocket League, with FIFA set to follow.
Plus, Legion Esports + Media’s e-commerce brand GamerStore.ie has entered into a three-year partnership with Nativz Gaming.
As the start of the series approaches, it has also been confirmed that the team responsible for day-to-day management will remain in place for what will now be known as the Nativz Collegiate Esports Series.
Nativz also have their own League of Legends team, who will face MNM Gaming in the upper bracket best-of-five final in the NLC Division 1 promotion tournament on Monday September 26th.
Nativz moved into the UK/Ireland/Nordics NLC after playing in Denmark’s Telia Esports Series last year.
“We’re delighted to see the continued growth of student esports in Ireland, and we’re looking forward to working with Nativz Gaming as they take over this exciting student esports series,” said Legion Esports + Media CEO Stuart Dempsey.
“By aligning our retail brand GamerStore.ie with Nativz Gaming we see a great opportunity to continue to support the Irish gaming community and in particular the student esports community.”
