Fortnite is a big money-maker for Epic Games, that much is obvious, but court documents have now revealed just how much revenue is generated by specific platforms. According to the documents, a whopping 46.8% of total revenue between March 2018 and July 2020 was generated on PS4.
Meanwhile, Xbox One made up 27.5% and iOS drummed up 7% of spendings, while PC, Android and Nintendo Switch scrapped it out for the remaining 18% of revenue,
In case you haven’t been keeping up, Apple and Epic Games are currently locked in a court battle regarding the latter wanting to acquire a better share of the revenue from Fortnite purchases via the App Store. Sony, meanwhile, is pocketing 30% for every sold V-Buck for the battle royale title via its in-game store.
