During its Tokyo Game Show 2022 panel, Xbox officially revealed a number of new games coming to the Game Pass service in the near future, including some big triple-A titles such as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
As you may have already seen, Xbox Showcase at the Tokyo Game Show has come to an end a few hours earlier, during which we got to see new trailers from Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Deathloop, and a Ni No Kuni Remastered. Every game that was showcased during the Tokyo Game Show will be heading to the Game Pass service either today or in the future.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Ni No Kuni Remastered, and Danganronpa V3 are all coming to PC and Xbox Game Pass as soon as today. Also, you can expect Deathloop to be available on the service on September 20. The game will also receive a new free update across all platforms that adds new enemies, new weapons, and an extended campaign ending.
There are also a few games that will join the service next year. Guilty Gear Strive and Blazblue Cross Tag Battle will both be available in Spring 2023, while Ni No Kuni Revenant Kingdom is set for a 2023 launch on Game Pass without any specific date or window.
During the showcase, we also got to see a developer diary from Team Ninja and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
Tokyo Game Show is running and more publishers from around the world will have their own panels today and tomorrow. Aside from Deathloop, Xbox didn’t share any details on its first-party titles, which probably means we have to wait until The Game Awards 2022 for new showcase from the Xbox Game Studios if they don’t hold any specific event until December 2022.
It’s been a while that Xbox tries to expand its presence in the Eastern Asian countries, especially Japan, and it has been pretty successful so far as Xbox Series X and S set record financial performance in Japan compared to previous Xbox consoles.
In other news for Game Pass members, Microsoft released a new update for Xbox App on PC that brings a new feature as well as a number of performance improvements.
