PS Plus September 2021 predictions have been floating around the web but new leaks have just surfaced ahead of Sony’s announcement date.
Subscribers still have until September 7th to claim the bundle of Hunter’s Arena Legends, Plants vs. Zombies, and Tennis World Tour 2 for free. Hunter’s Arena is another battle royale game but with a refreshing emphasis on melee, whereas Plants vs. Zombies and tennis are pretty self explanatory.
While the current line-up isn’t the greatest, next month’s selection will be better assuming the most recent leak is true.
When will the PS Plus September 2021 games be announced?
No announcement date has been confirmed, but it’s possible that the next batch of PS Plus free games will be revealed on September 1st.
Either that or they could be revealed on August 31st. Sony typically announces their upcoming freebies in the final week of the current month on a Wednesday, but they have sometimes pulled the curtain aside on a Tuesday.
We know that the new offerings will be available from September 7th, so make sure to download the August selection of Tennis World Tour 2, Plants Vs. Zombies, and Hunter’s Arena before then.
PS Plus September 2021 leaks
The most recent leak suggests that the PS Plus September 2021 free games are Overcooked All You Can Eat, Hitman 2, and Predator Hunting Grounds.
This comes courtesy of the French website Dealabs. Per VGC, this site has correctly revealed titles in the past and the leak has reportedly been uploaded with proof submitted and verified by moderators.
Although it’s not official until Sony make their announcement, the combination of Overcooked, Hitman 2, and Predator would be decent. Hitman 2 is a game of the year masterpiece, meanwhile Overcooked is a fun enough party game to play with friends.
Predator Hunting Grounds is a pretty average multiplayer experience, but – at no added cost – it would still be an enjoyable distraction for a few hours.
Predictions
One of our PS Plus September 2021 predictions for PS5 was F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch.
This was because Sony’s next free games will become available on September 7th, and this is when F.I.S.T is scheduled to release. In addition, it was also part of the PlayStation Indies Initiative back in July 2020.
It now seems that Overcooked All You Can Eat will be the PS5 offering, which is disappointing for everyone who had hoped to jump into the metroidvania action game that stars talking cats and rabbits. While it would’ve been a neat offering similar to Oddworld Soulstorm, you will still be able to buy the game on either PlayStation or Steam although no price has been listed as of yet.
