New Xbox games have been added to the Free Play Days event this weekend as Microsoft confirmed its Games With Gold August 2022 lineup.
This means gamers with an Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass subscription can download and play some extra titles for a short period before the latest free titles for next month drop.
The deal only includes three games, and these will only be free to play until the early hours of Monday morning, but it’s a great way to get ready for the next round of free game reveals.

New Xbox Free Play Days Games Announced
Before Microsoft releases its new Xbox Games With Gold August 2022 games, they’ve decided to add some free titles to play this weekend.
Free Play Day events are exclusive to Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, allowing you to enjoy several curated titles that come with all features. This means that, unlike other timed trials and demos, you’re not limited by what content you can unlock and play.
The current lineup of titles are available from Thursday, July 28 at 12:01 a.m. PDT until Sunday, July 31 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. For gamers in the UK, that means you can enjoy everything on offer from now until 7:59am BST on August 1.
To download these new games on console, subscribers need to click on the Subscriptions tab in the Xbox Store and enter the Gold member area to locate the Free Play Days collection on your Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
The games chosen for this weekend’s promotion includes the following: WWE 2K22, Generation Zero, and Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker. WWE 2K22 is the standout choice, as it is one of the most recent releases and is also not currently available on Xbox Game Pass or Games with Gold.
And after these have disappeared from the library, fans will get access to these new games via Games with Gold August: Calico on Xbox One and Saint’s Row 2 for Xbox 360.
Both of these titles will be available to download on August 1, followed by two more on August 16: ScourgeBringer from Xbox One and Monaco: What’s Yours is Mine from Xbox 360.
