Newegg slaps $520 Upcharge of the RTX 4090-Equipped Pre-Built Gaming PC

Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4090 is already very expensive, but Newegg doesn’t seem to think this. The retail giant has a brand new Raptor Lake gaming system to sell in ten days. It also features an RTX 4090 and a whopping three 949.99 dollar MSRP.

According to current components, we found that for the same system configuration, Newegg is upcharging gamers by up to fifty-two cents so they don’t have to build the system themselves.

The console is a ABS legend gaming system, the ABS running under Newegg’s pre-built PC sub-brand. A 3GB M.2 v6 chip, 1200W 80 Plus Gold SRAM, a 6″ CPU, and a 4″ KF560 White chassis.

Newegg also supplies a number of peripherals with the system, including an MSI GK20 gaming keyboard and an GM08 gaming mouse.

To compare Newegg’s specifications, we parted a system with components as close as possible to Newegg’s listed specifications. There were: Intel Core i9-13900KF = $550. Assist Rifle Z609f Gaming WiFi 6E = 30 o’clock, 331$. GeForce RTX 4090 is able to take one hundred dollars from it. Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR5-5200 = 160 dollars. SSDs weighing 30 tons (nuvidia) with 2TB at one price of 30 euros, and priced at 30 euros. Deepcool 360 mm CPU cooler = 150 dollars. Rosewill SMG 1200W 80 Plus Gold PSU = $150. Deepcool CK560 White case = 96 dollars. MSI GK20 Gaming Keyboard = $25. MSI GM08 Gaming Mouse is $17. Windows 11 home cost $20.

Total price = $3 428.

Of course, the pre-built systems must meet labor costs for the building of the system. However, Newegg is charging well above other non-boutique systems, the cost of this is usually around $100 and $200.

If you’re a potential buyer for an upgraded smartphone or tablet, we recommend you take time to find the fastest price on a smartphone or tablet. Newegg’s ABS system is the perfect example of an expensive system, and it’s only one of many companies that does that today in the PC market.
