Huh, just as Legends is making waves they finally announce the next proper mainline game!

This has the potential to be a very sloppy rush job if it releases this soon after Legends: Arceus. But I’m still going to be optimistic. Hopefully there won’t be anything dumb like a flying mouse cursor in the credits scene.

The duck starter is clearly the best choice. I usually struggle to pick a starter, but the grass and fire types this time are rather blah (the evolution line may change my mind.)

I hope it isn’t like Legends Arceus.

Success proves Game Freak right so they can continue being lazy game designers. Call of Duty is easily a more respectable IP and 5 mainline Pokemon games will have released between 16 November 2018 and the end of this year. The art direction of the Switch games is terrible. The cat starter looks alright, I guess.

I certainly do. Better than the same formula since Gen 1.

At least there’s some hope unlike Sword and Shield, even though Altaria is in; it’s for the best that there are no cuts to Pokemon that aren’t Legends exclusive.

Hisuian Zoroark was already shown so the new forms aren’t going to be Legends exclusive. I’m curious how they will explain them in future games. Did they go extinct and were brought back somehow or did they just simply migrate to other regions.

Now if you meant the last Generation then you should word it to say generation, otherwise it confuses fans. (And if you meant region then Hisui from LA was tech still the last new region since its Sinnoh set in the past but its very dif from Sinnoh of today)

We have Pokemon that can time travel (Celebi, Dialga, possibly Arceus) and ultra worm holes that lead to alternate dimensions/realities so uh, u really don’t even need to explain their existence tbh. Its already been explained. Also, I’d like to point to GSC on the GBC as those literally had tech that allowed u to bring Pokemon from the past (RBY) to the present (GSC) and this was lit stated in game so we also have tech as well and Home is more or less our modern time tech here, even if its not really been said or stated in lore for Home.
Also, its already been confirmed for SV that only some of all of the Pokemon will be in SV. (Joe aka Serebii tweeted this out today) and lastly, that really shoulda been expected becus GF wouldn’t have gone a whole gen of doing this if they were just gonna back [pedal on this in the next gen.

I don’t know why Sword and Shield gets so much flack, it was one of the best gens in a long while. I’m looking forward to this next gen, too.

Also let’s not forget fossil revival, that’s been a part of the games since the beginning.

And just like Legends Arceus you can see that the game has been in development for probably quite some time. While it doesn’t look bad, it certainly looks like a game that should have come out a few years ago. Either way, I’m still looking forward to it. I’m interested to see if it’ll be more streamlined with routes like previous games or large open-world areas like in more recent games.

The fire starter seems to be breaking the Chinese Zodiac theme, though,

It feels way too soon after Arceus. I’m still cautiously optimistic.

Some people refuse to give up on the zodiac thing and believe the croc will become a snake (serpent/forbidden fruit theme)

That’s your bar? not having things like limited or recycled animations or a an inconsistent frame rate?
