Activision Blizzard has just launched Overwatch 2 and sold a whole bunch of new heroes. This time around, rather than full retail release, the game is free to play, replacing the loot boxes of previous entries with a battle pass system. However, the original Overwatch was a full-fledged retail release, which was paid at a premium, that was brought on a disc by many players. I found a playable box for the Nintendo Switch, though it is merely a code in a box.
As many of you migrate to Overwatch, Activision Blizzard has shut down the servers for the original Overwatch, in no case since it’s just now possible to play the title again. Despite this, many online retailers still sell boxed copies of the original game or in a lot of cases selling their physical consoles, just because they come only with a code, and it doesn’t work anymore.
Many major websites have clearly pulled any way to purchase the original Overwatch, but currently all new listings are available for both codes and codes available on Overwatch (please don’t buy them) over at Amazon.co.uk or PlayAsia, LiveCards, and Xbox console and console are also being sold at Game.co.uk.
