Nintendo Switch Games Sale Discounts Bethesda Games for QuakeCon

ZeniMax Media’s QuakeCon kicks off tomorrow, August 18th, and runs until Saturday, August 20th. Bethesda published the full schedule earlier in the month, and while a few big games are conspicuously missing from the lineup, there are plenty of other online events for Bethesda and Id Software fans to check out.

However, Bethesda isn’t the only company with something going on this week. Nintendo is celebrating QuakeCon with significant discounts on Bethesda games through the Nintendo eShop. The sale runs until 11:59 PM on the 22nd and includes discounts of 75% or more on some of the publisher’s biggest releases.

There aren’t that many Bethesda games on Switch, with Skyrim being the only Bethesda-developed title on the platform. However, the award-winning RPG is 50% off right now, down from $59.99 to $29.99. Meanwhile, QuakeCon’s namesake, Quake, is down from $9.99 to only $3.99, a discount of 60% off. Unfortunately, Quake 2 and Quake 3 Arena still haven’t arrived on the Nintendo Switch, so Switch users will have to look elsewhere if they want to experience the full trilogy.

Additionally, fans can grab MachineGames’ Wolfenstein 2 for 80% off, down from $39.99 to only $7.99. They can also pick up the Standard Edition of co-op FPS Wolfenstein: Young Blood for 70% off or the Deluxe Edition for 75% off. This works out to $5.99 for the Standard Edition or $7.49 for Deluxe, compared to the usual prices of $19.99 and $29.99.

However, Doom fans are the real winners from this Switch sale. Doom (1993), Doom 2 (Classic), and Doom 64 are all 60% off. This works out to only $1.99 for each game. Meanwhile, Doom 3 is $2.99 while the 2016 Doom reboot is $9.99, after discounts of 75% off. Alternatively, fans can pick up Doom (1993), Doom 2, Doom 3, and Doom (2016) in the Doom Slayers Collection. The bundle typically goes for $49.99, but Switch users can currently pick it up for $12.49, a discount of 75%.

As for Id’s latest releases, both versions of 2020’s Doom Eternal are 75% off. The Standard Edition usually goes for $59.99, with the Deluxe Edition retailing for $89.99. However, Doom fans can grab them for $14.99 and $22.49, respectively. In addition, Doom Eternal’s Ancient Gods expansions are also 50% off. Players can buy Part 1 and Part 2 for $9.99 each. Alternatively, they can save an additional $4.99 by purchasing the Expansion Pass, which is on sale for $15.99.
