No More Heroes 3 is coming to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC this month, following a year of Nintendo Switch exclusivity. Its release on PC and console was very much awaited.
Thanks to the fevered imagination of Goichi Suda, aka Suda51, No More Heroes 3 has all the hallmarks of Grasshopper Manufacture’s previous titles. The trademark blend of absurd violence and quirky humor is back in a deliberately oversaturated form. Alongside frenetic hack-and-slash combat, you can expect some typically out-of-place mini-games, such as mowing lawns, unclogging toilets, and fending off giant alligators from a tower.
Series’ main character Travis Touchdown returns to the town of Santa Destroy for the final time as the series bids farewell with the final installment of the mainline trilogy. Armed with the evergreen Katana, you’ll take on the role of Travis and save the world from an army of alien invaders while encountering a bunch of pop culture connections along the way.
Developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by XSEED Games and the Marvelous USA, No More Heroes 3 will be released on PC via Steam on 11 October. Release dates for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One versions have not yet been confirmed.
