No More Heroes 4 could happen with ‘big fan outcry’ says Suda 51

Suda 51 has said that another game starring No More Heroes protagonist Travis Touchdown could happen if there’s enough fan demand.

Speaking to GNN, Suda 51 was asked about whether there was any potential for another game in the No More Heroes series, despite No More Heroes 3 being positioned as Travis’ final battle.

“Yes, that’s right, Heroes No More 3 is Travis’ last battle,” Suda said. “Nobody could say what’s going to happen 10 years from now, and I can’t say either. If there’s a big fan outcry, Travis might be back. Just like Tom Cruise came back as Maverick.”

Suda also mentioned that he’d like to see a collection of all three No More Heroes games in one collection, but that would be a decision for the game’s publisher Marvelous not Suda.

No More Heroes 3 will release for PlayStation, Xbox and PC on October 11, 2022. It first released on Nintendo Switch in 2021.

The game will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S with Smart Delivery support, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.

No More Heroes 3, which is set nine years after the events of the second game, sees protagonist Travis Touchdown once again trying to make his way to the top of a leaderboard of assassins.

The twist is that this time the assassins all come from outer space, and Travis is trying to defeat them in order to reach an evil alien called FU and stop him from taking over the world.

VGC’s No More Heroes 3 review called the game “a faithful follow-up for better or worse”.

It concluded: “No More Heroes 3 is exactly what fans of the series have been waiting for – an authentic sequel that continues the story of Travis Touchdown.

“If you loved the previous games, you’ll love this. However, it doesn’t offer anything new to improve on the series’ flaws, meaning anyone who isn’t a devotee may want to try the original first to see if its quirky, sharp-tongued style is for them.”
