Northwood University’s Varsity Call of Duty team has found great success over the last year.
This can be attributed to the hard work of all its players, although a certain player has stood out: Kevin Bonanno (“FAME”).
Bonanno, a sophomore, came to Northwood from California, and he has officially been signed by the Minnesota Rokkr Call of Duty franchise.
Northwood Esports Coach Cody Elsen said Bonanno has a laser-focus on success.
“Northwood gave me the chance to play for one of the best programs in the country while pursuing a degree,” Bonanno said. “I am thrilled that I quickly made the pro league. The time at Northwood may have been short, but I am grateful.”
Bonanno helped lead Northwood to a 2022 Call of Duty national championship; 2022 National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) championship; and a 2022 UGC spring championship. Elsen said Bonanno exhibited true leadership through his consistent play and pushing his teammates to improve.
