RELATED: The Last of Us Part II Gets Cute with Sackboy Make Over The Craiglist ad, which was shared on Twitter by Gene Park of The Washington Post, was posted by a couple from San Jose, California. The listing said the self-described pair of senior citizens were looking for a personal tutor to teach them how to play various PS4 games, especially The Last of Us Part II. The listing stipulates that qualified applicants must be fully vaccinated against coronavirus (COVID-19) and they must know how to work a PS4 controller.
In the listing, the couple wrote that they were looking for a gamer “who is patient” to come to their home for 2-3 hours to teach them how to play PS4 games “without judging us” and “without getting frustrated or irritated.” In terms of qualifications, the couple asked that the tutor be able to show proof of vaccination. “We want to enjoy this diversion,” the couple wrote. The post also stated that they were specifically looking for someone who knows the controller and the games well and that “references would be a plus.” Source: Twitter

The couple’s advert has already attracted at least one highly qualified gaming tutor candidate. Shannon Woodward, the actress who performed the role of Dina in The Last of Us Part II, responded to the tweet within a day, asking, “Gene how do I apply.” When The Last of Us Part II was released in 2020, the survival horror sequel quickly proved successful, selling enough copies to become one of the highest-grossing PlayStation games of all time. It single-handedly swept the 2020 Game Awards as well, earning more Game of the Year accolades than the previous record-holder, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The success of The Last of Us Part II and other PS4 games seems to have sparked the interest of the elderly couple behind the posting, encouraging them to try out the console.
