TOKYO — Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic, who arrived at these Games as the favorite to win gold, will leave without a medal. Djokovic lost the bronze medal match in men’s singles to Spain’s Pablo Carreño Busta, 6-4, 6-7 (8-6), 6-3, Saturday afternoon. Afterward, he withdrew from the mixed doubles bronze medal match, where he and Nina Stojanovic were slated to face Australia’s Ashleigh Barty and John Peers.
