Onion Games’ Moon And Black Bird Are Coming To PS4 & PS5 On Dec. 16

Onion Games has super-glued a December 16, 2021 release date to the classic RPGs moon and Black Bird on PS4 and PS5, which will be available as a digital download.

First up, moon was released in 1997 for the PSOne and is an anti-RPG, in the sense that it looks at the genre from a different perspective — there’s no battles, and you level up by loving! Yep, your job is to rescue the souls of vanquished creatures, which are the victims of the traditional RPG hero.

Meanwhile, the game’s residents all have their own routines depending on the time of day, and you can also choose your own music as you explore the map.

Elsewhere, Black Bird hit the Switch and PC in October 2018, and recalls a classic era of gaming with its rich, picture book world. You’re the Black Bird, aka the Calamity, and your task is simple: destroy the kingdom with a bullet hell. The game mixes audio with gameplay, as your enemies’ movement synchronises with the operatic soundtrack, which is sung in a fictional language.
