The PlayStation Blog, as a part of its day on indie announcements, has revealed Operation: Tango, a new co-op puzzle-solving game coming to both PS5 and PS4 this Spring.
In the title, you play as Alistair, the hacker or Angel the agent. Built as an asymmetrical game, you share the same world but play from completely different perspectives. Both of you rely solely on verbal communication to solve puzzles together. For example, the agent might place tiles for the hacker to walk along.
The team behind the game, Clever Plays, talk on the PlayStation Blog about how the world is built for players of all skill levels and uses colors, themes, and designs to help identify where you are and describe your environment. The world is filled with different situations and areas as well, inspired by the short film Hyper Reality and Robert Valley, who animates Gorillaz‘s music videos.
Overall, the game looks like a blast and reminds us a lot of the We Were Here series, but this time set against the backdrop of a spy thriller. Cross-play between PS5 and PS4 will also be available at launch. You can watch the reveal trailer for Operation Tango below:
