Starting this week, Overwatch 2 allows console and PC players to enter its private beta. The test, which began last June 28, encountered a major problem in the PS5 version that prevented players from accessing it. Two days later, Blizzard published a patch that provides an immediate solution. It has been the players themselves who have been responsible for sharing the news.
How can I get access to the Overwatch 2 beta?
The company opened in recent weeks several ways to get an invitation. This is the first time that the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One public has the opportunity to test the sequel before its release on October 4. The PC community, which also joins this period, already had the opportunity to do the same in the past. Nintendo Switch is the only system that remains out at the moment.
The free method consisted of registering on the official website through your Battle.net profile. This allows you to be part of the waves of invitations, although it does not ensure you get it. On the other hand, there is a more direct way to get it… upon payment. For $39.99 you can purchase the Watchpoint Pack on all platforms, which includes the following items:
- Guaranteed Access to the Overwatch 2 PvP Crossplay Beta on June 28th, 2022
- Overwatch: Legendary Edition.
- Overwatch 2 Premium Battle Pass: Season 1.
- Two Overwatch 2 Legendary Hero Skins – Space Raider Soldier 76 and Space Raider Cassidy
- 2000 Overwatch 2 virtual currency
- Exclusive Overwatch 2 player icon when purchasing the bundle.
You can know the specific details through this link. Remember that Overwatch 2 will be released on October 4 in free-to-play format for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
