Judging by a potential leak from PlayStation Database, we might get Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals sooner rather than later. How soon? February 8, 2022, to be exact.
With Night School Studio being acquired by Netflix and the first Oxenfree having been released all the way back in 2016, it makes sense that the sequel will be released sooner rather than later. Enough time has passed and they have enough money to make Oxenfree 2 the best game it could be. Night School Studio also developed and released Afterparty in 2019 as well.
What is Oxenfree 2 about? Well, we don’t know much:
Five years after the events of OXENFREE, Riley returns to her hometown of Camena to investigate mysterious radio signals. What she finds is more than she bargained for.
Yeah, that’s not too much, eh? There’s going to be some wibbly wobby, timey wimey action, but besides there really isn’t much that we know about the Oxenfree sequel so far. Here’s six minutes of recent gameplay, though:
Judging by the gameplay it looks like Night School Studio have another hit on their hands, but we won’t find out until next year.
Oxenfree 2 is releasing for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam sometime in 2022, although it might be on February 8, 2022. We’ll see.
