A new trailer for the game invites players to “Play various Pac-Man games to unlock missions and collect coins”.
By completing missions, players will be able to win arcade machines and other decorations for their virtual arcade within the game.
It appears that these collectables, such as a Pac-Man Gashapon machine, are based on real merchandise and promotional items from throughout the history of the series.
Players will be able to arrange all of their arcade cabinets, change the floor and wall patterns and play a large list of Pac-Man music from across the franchise via an in-game jukebox.
Pac-Man Museum was first released in 2014 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC as a digital download. The collection was delisted from all platforms on July 20. A version of the game for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U was planned but was cancelled due to ‘delayed development.
Pac-Man Museum+ is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It’s unclear if a native PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series version will be released at a later date.
