There is a game worth playing with life itself. As for the PS4, there were several options to choose from, but one of the most distant and outstanding of the year was the Sega and Omega Force Persona 5 strikers. Omega Force has really and really taken a step out of their comfort zone when it comes to developing games around them in terms of how to handle popular IP licenses. Persona 5 Strikers still has dynasty and Samurai Warriors-like gameplay in its DNA. You still throw a combo against a wave of enemies at once, but it also incorporates an important element of the persona franchise into its execution. You are still collecting demons, empowering them, and building basic weaknesses and strengths in your battle to always do the greatest damage to certain enemies. Moreover, Persona 5 Striker’s is more than just a disposable story limited by the movement of Persona 5. It’s actually a sequel to Persona 5. The striker picks up the actual Persona 5 event and warns the Phantom Sheaves of a new threat that will force them to return to the Metaverse and reform the minds of the terrible people again. Omega Force was the evolving force behind the striker, so it feels like a proper sequel to the Persona 5 story in every respect. This year is a wild year for the game and it’s unlikely that you’ll be targeting a title on the PlayStation 4, but Persona 5 Striker’s was a great year. Omega Force and Sega have given us better, and they worked. With stylish actions, Persona 5 characters, stories, and RPG elements that Omega Force is familiar with, it makes the original game great and connects them in a functional and cohesive way. Anyone who wants to revisit the world of Phantom Sieves and experience another amazing adventure can’t ask for anything more. That’s why Persona 5 Strikers is the 2021 Shacknews Best PS4 game.
