Paul George has been one of the most dynamic players in the NBA over the course of the last decade. George is an incredible force on both ends of the court.
Many fans fondly remember George single-handedly taking it to LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh when the Miami Heat faced the Indiana Pacers.
Since then, he has gone on to become one of the most popular players in the league and now has a new interesting shoe.
PG 13 X PS5 – New shoe for Paul George
Nike recently announced that Paul George would be getting a new shoe. What makes this announcement noteworthy is the fact that this will be a collaboration shoe between Paul George and PlayStation.
The shoes will have the iconic color scheme of the PlayStation 5 console, along with the signature colorway of George. This isn’t the first collaboration between PG13 and PS, as the two parties came together for the first time to make the PG2, an homage to the iconic PlayStation2 console.
For George, the shoes are a big deal. The first set of PlayStation collabs were very well received, with their resale value still on the rise in the second market.
Furthermore, the shoes also brought a lot of eyes and popularity to Paul George, who was playing in smaller markets like Indiana and Oklahoma City at the time.

From Playoff P to Pandemic P
Despite his new shoes, the biggest concern surrounding Paul George is still his play. George had a tough time last season. After arriving at the LA Clippers as part of a big trade, George was underwhelming at best.
He was recovering from a double shoulder surgery and didn’t like the way Head Coach Doc Rivers was using him. His performances in the Playoffs were very poor, with George being nicknamed ‘Pandemic P’ and ‘PG 13%’ for his showing.
However, this year George is looking like his former self. While it is clear that he still hasn’t fully recovered from the shoulder surgery, George is playing some of the best basketball of his career.
He was an early candidate for MVP, the first time he was in the conversation since coming 3rd in 2019. And he earned another All-Star nomination this year, after missing out in 2020.
Can he redeem himself this season? Currently, George has been good for the LA Clippers. And the franchise looks rejuvenated and excited after the acquisition of Rajon Rondo.
Many believe that Rondo will be instrumental in ensuring that George and the Clippers do not collapse this year like they did last year in the Playoffs.
