It’s acquisition time!
PlayStation Studios will likely add porter Bluepoint Games to its fold, if an image from PlayStation Japan is credible.
As Sony has announced it has acquired Returnal‘s Housemarque, PlayStation Japan seemingly uploaded the wrong image for the announcement, instead showing one annoucing the acquisition of Bluepoint instead. The image can be seen above.
Bluepoint’s latest original game was 2012’s PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale; since then, the studio has churned out remaster after remaster, including Flower on PS Vita and PS4, Titanfall on Xbox 360, Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection on PS4, Gravity Rush Remastered on PS4, Shadow of the Colossus on PS4 and Demon’s Souls on PS5.
Before PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Bluepoint remastered God of War Collection, The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection and Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on PS3.
