Pokken Tournament DX free to play trial release date & time

The release date and time countdown for when a free to play Pokken Tournament DX trial will come out has been announced and it requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership to download.

It’s an exciting time for Pokemon fans. Pokemon Go is currently undergoing World Championship Timed Research with codes given out on Twitch.

You will need to redeem the codes directly after they have been shared, but – away from Pokemon Go – you can play the anime series’ Tournament DX at no cost today.

Pokken Tournament DX free to play release date

The release date and time for when the Pokken Tournament DX free to play trial will come out is 10:00 PT, 13:00 ET, and 18:00 BST on August 18th.

The above hours come courtesy of the official Nintendo of America Twitter account. It will last until 23:59 PT on August 31st, as well as 02:59 ET and 07:59 BST on September 1st.

While the free to play trial is available, you will also be able to buy the full game at a 30% discount. You can pre-download the trial right now from the Nintendo eShop.

How to play

You need a Nintendo Switch Online membership to play the Pokken Tournament DX free trial.

  • £6.99 – every 90-days
  • £17.99 – every 12-months
