Final Fantasy is such a misleading franchise name, isn’t it? It’s like the Neverending Story: how come it ends in under two hours? Anyway, as you know, there are dozens of Final Fantasy games – and five of the better ones are coming to PS Now. This is a staggered rollout, with Final Fantasy VII being the first to join on 7th September.
To be clear, this is the PS4 port of the original PS1 game, and is not to be confused with Final Fantasy VII Remake. It’s still a classic, though, innit? It’ll be followed, on 5th October, by Final Fantasy VIII Remastered. And then, on 2nd November and 7th December respectively, Final Fantasy IX and Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster will roll out.
The Square Enix love-in will end with Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age on 4th January, 2022. It’s not currently clear whether these will be permanent additions to the service, so we’ll need to wait for more information on that front. It’s a strong selection of games, though, isn’t it? Will you be playing any of these with PS Now? You can find a full list of All PS Now Games through the link.
