PS Plus April 2021 update reveals great news for those without PlayStation Plus Collection | Gaming | Entertainment

The PS Plus free games included in April’s lineup includes a cracking mix of new and old titles.

Soon, gamers will have the choice of downloading some fresh like Oddworld Soulstorm on PS4 and PS5, or something exclusive, like Days Gone.

But this week’s PS Plus April reveal also confirms something else that will no doubt go download for those without access to the PlayStation Plus Collection.

If you haven’t upgraded to a PS5 console yet – which is a pretty hard thing to do considering the stock shortages – then you aren’t able to enjoy a top PS Plus perk.

This would be the PS Plus Collection, a group of 20 games that can be downloaded and played with your subscription, as soon as you upgrade to a PS5.

The Collection includes a number of top titles, all of which can be download at no extra charge.

This means being able to play the likes of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and God of War without having to buy them separately.

But the one worry of the new Collection was that it might make the game’s included in it exclusive to the bundle.

That would mean they would never be featured in a future PS Plus free games list, which would exclude some cracking titles.

A lot has already been featured, but some like God of War haven’t made the cut yet, and are highly anticipated entries for the future.

But those worries were all put to bed this week with the announcement of Days Gone coming to PS Plus in April.

Days Gone is one of those games which is part of the Collection, and proves Sony won’t be keeping them as an exclusive bundle.

That’s great news for gamers hoping to add Persona 5 added to their collection in the future.

And for those wanting to know more about the PS Plus Collection, you can find the Sony description below:

“PS5 owners with PS Plus will be able to download and play a curated library of PS4 games that defined the generation, like Batman Arkham Knight, Bloodborne, Fallout 4, God of War, Monster Hunter: World, Persona 5 and many more. The PS Plus Collection will be an added benefit to the existing PS4 benefits that PS Plus members receive for a single subscription price.

“Once you redeem a game from the PlayStation Plus Collection, you can keep the games for as long as you are an active PlayStation Plus member.

“PS4 games redeemed from the PlayStation Plus Collection and played on the PS5 console will see benefits such as increased loading speed and improved or more stable framerates with PS5’s Game Boost.”

And it won’t be long before the next PlayStation Plus free games are released this month.

The full list includes Days Gone, Oddworld: Soulstorm, and Zombie Army 4: Dead War, giving it a real post-apocalyptic twist for this month.

Descriptions for each game can be found below, courtesy of Sony:
