With the NBA 2K22 release date of September 10, 2021 on the way, it appears that Sony has teamed up with 2K Sports for a PS5 DualSense bundle for the game. Dubbed as the DualSense wireless controller + NBA 2K22 Jumpstart Bundle it ships with a voucher for three packs and 2,500 points you can use in the game’s Myteam mode. The voucher has to be redeemed via the PS Store and NBA 2K22 isn’t included in the bundle either. The voucher expires on December 30, 2023. This bundle will cost as much as a normal DualSense controller — Rs. 5,990.
No release date has been mentioned just yet though with the game on the way, we won’t be surprised to see one soon. We’ve reached out to Sony and 2K Sports for comment and will update this story if we here from either company.
Considering that the NBA series isn’t as popular as it could be in India, this could be one way to jumpstart sales. However with the next few months seeing entries in franchises like Call of Duty, FIFA, Battlefield, and Halo, it’ll be interesting to see how many would bother with this latest entry in a usually polished — albeit mercenary — franchise. NBA 2K22 is up for pre-order right now for PS5 and Xbox Series X for Rs. 4,599 and for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PS4 for Rs. 3,999. Pre-ordering nets you the following bonuses:

As for the PS5 itself, sources tell IGN India that Sony is still slated for an August 2021 PS5 restock. It was earlier dated for the first week of the month but that has obviously changed. Hopefully we should get an official announcement soon enough.
