The next PS5 restock in India has been set for October 4, 2021, at 12 pm. Banners for the upcoming restock have been posted by multiple retailers across the country, including Sony’s own ShopAtSC online store.
Both the disk and digital editions of the console have been listed for the next restock, which should be shipped starting October 10, with stock close to the amount brought into the country at the PS5’s launch. Given that the country’s previous PS5 restock was imported a couple of months prior, chances of the new PS5 revision (with the smaller heatsink) arriving in ample quantity is low.
These new models are somewhat lighter, and are hotter on the exhaust. Overall, the differences in heating and performance are minor and unnoticeable.
From the perspective of restocks, this is a good sign, as it removes a key hurdle for the revised model being sold in India.

With that said, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has approved the new revision for arrival on future restocks, as spotted by a Twitter account keeping track of PS5 India news. As for the other new-gen console, sources say that while Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and S have landed in the country for more than a month now, the company hasn’t allowed its distributor Redington to ship them out just yet. With Windows 11 launching next week, it’s possible that Microsoft is busy with resources being directed towards it instead of a new country-wide restock of its new consoles.
For more on PS5 restocks and how some of the country’s biggest retailers are handling the situation, check out IGN India’s interview with Vijay Sales. Despite a low amount of console’s restocks, the PS5 has managed to stay on top of sales charts in the country, which paves the way for more stock getting allocated to the country as per distributors for Sony. While there is no mention of the Pulse 3D Wireless headset making its way to India as per Sony’s lack of store listing, Indian retailer Mcube Games is listing them for sale next week, coinciding with the PS5 restock.
The PlayStation 5 costs Rs. 49,990 in India with the Digital Edition priced at Rs. 39,990.
