PS5 disc installation issue seemingly returns
UPDATE: The PS5 could drop at Very and Argos this week. Read on for more information.
The PS5 arrived almost a whole year ago in the UK, on 19 November 2020, but supply problems and a global semiconductor shortage have caused the production of Sony’s new game console to slow significantly. New stock is still quite difficult to find, and when it does appear the PS5 sells out almost instantly, both online and in-store.
November has got off to an extremely slow start when it comes to PS5 restocks. Last week, we only saw John Lewis & Partners, Game and ShopTo drop stock. We’re hoping that will improve though. Towards the end of October, we had nine massive drops from Asda, Studio, John Lewis & Partners, Very, Littlewoods, Argos, Hamleys, Game and AO. As we race towards the PS5’s one-year anniversary, let’s just hope November starts delivering the goods.
If you’re still on the lookout for a PS5, you’ve come to the right place. Our liveblog is on hand to give you the latest insight on Playstation 5 restocks from all major UK retailers, both online and in-store, as well as providing details on rumoured releases, plus the latest PS5 games and accessories to snap up.

Early Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals
It’s not even Black Friday yet and the Nintendo Switch bundle deals have already started rolling in! Amazon kicked off its Black Friday shopping extravaganza this morning and while we haven’t seen any deals on PS5s, we have seen some on the Switch.
You can currently get a Nintendo Switch neon red/neon blue bundle with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for £298.99 (Amazon.co.uk). That’s the lowest we’ve ever seen this bundle.

When could Amazon PS5 stock drop?
(The Independent)
It’s been getting harder and harder to predict Amazon restocks in recent months. The retailer used to have a very predictable drop pattern of once every two weeks, but since September, those regular restock interval have been kicked out of the window.
We still hold onto the pattern though, willing it to return. Amazon last restocked the PS5 on 27 October, so theoretically it should restock on Wednesday this week. Fair warning – Amazon waited a whole month before the October drop, last stocking consoles on 29 September.

Could AO PS5 stock drop this week?
AO is another retailer we’ve got our eye on this week. It isn’t the easiest retailer to secure stock from, with people literally having to amend the website’s code in order to get it into their basket. but it does seem to have small, sporadic drops pretty frequently.
It had four tiny drops last month – on 1, 4, 16 and 19 October. We’re predicting some more tiny restocks this month, too, and yes, you’ll most likely have to amend the website’s code using the Google Chrome trick.
For a full explanation on the Google Chrome trick, check out the AO entry in our main PS5 stock guide.

A Very PS5 restock could take place tomorrow
Very last had a PS5 restock on 19 October, and it usually drops consoles once every three to four weeks. That means it’s in a prime position to have another restock this week.
Very seems to drop most frequently on a Tuesday, but we have seen it restock on a Wednesday before. If it does drop tomorrow, expect it to restock between 9am and 10am. You’ll be put into a waiting room for about half an hour before being let in to the main stage. Restocks usually last around three hours, so it’s a good retailer to go for.

Could Argos PS5 stock drop this week?
Argos is one of a handful of retailers that the ever-reliable @PS5StockAlertUK Twitter account has insider knowledge on. It always successfully predicts an Argos restock date, so we’re pretty confident with it as a source.
According to the stock tracker, the retailer has been receiving stock shipments over the last few days – it usually distributes consoles into Argos hubs over the weekend and the beginning of the week. It could go live any day between Tuesday and Friday.
The retailer last dropped the PS5 in the final week of October, with stock going live in-store and online at around 8am, although some people were able to check out at around 4am.

What PS5 stock drops could we see this week?
Goooooood morning PS5 hunters and welcome to another episode of The Independent’s PS5 stock tracking liveblog, where we give you all the predictions, news and updates to help you secure a PS5.
We only saw two retailers drop stock last week – Game and John Lewis & Partners, but yesterday we had a pretty lengthy restock at ShopTo, bringing the grand total to three.
