UPDATE: Sony has made a major announcement that could boost PS5 sales. While customers wait for the latest PlayStation 5 stock updates, Sony has announced the purchase of Destiny developer Bungie. If you are lucky enough to nab a PS5 in the coming weeks and months, then chances are you’ll be seeing a lot more of Destiny on the system in the future. January ended up being a rather quiet month for stock drops, with only a handful of major restocks throughout the month. Fortunately, however, February looks to be much better month for PS5 restocks, especially if the reports are to be believed. First up could be GAME, which will reportedly put PlayStation 5 consoles on sale in the first two weeks of the month. It’s possible, therefore, that we could get our first PS5 stock drop this week. The ever-reliable PS5 Stock UK account believes GAME will begin taking PS5 pre-orders in the first half of February.
That’s based on the fact that the PS5 release date is listed for February 18 on the GAME website.
“GAME has updated the release dates for PS5 Disc & Digital Editions (+ bundles) to the 18th of February, indicating a possible pre-order chance on the first or second week of February,” reads a PS5 Stock UK tweet.
“We should have more concrete information on the possible dates sometime next week. Stay tuned.”
If you’re hoping to bag a PlayStation 5 console in February, then you should check out the GAME website between 9-11.30am on the day of the restock.
With PS5 consoles shipping in batches, it’s likely Argos and Amazon will also restock the console during the same week.
