PS5 UK stock today: Latest restock news from Game, Currys, Argos, Amazon and more

Christmas Day might be over, but there’s something even more exciting than the big day (for us here at IndyBest, anyway), and that’s the Boxing Day sales and retailers have gone big with their offerings.

Very has the AirPods pro on sale right now (was £239, now £187, Very.co.uk), while Amazon also has some impressive Boxing Day sales, which you can see in our round-up.

Smyths Toys last had an online restock on 20 September at 10am. Like Argos and Game, Smyths Toys has begun accepting in-store pre-orders. People are currently able to walk into their local Smyths Toys store and ask for a PS5.

In-store drops usually happen at the same time as online drops. Smyths isn’t the easiest retailer to secure online stock from, with consoles usually being pick-up only. Its website doesn’t always show the PS5 as being in stock for everyone either, even if someone from the same city as you has managed to buy the console.

An in-store only drop took place on 16 December, but the website was not updated with stock. People could only purchase a console by going in and asking at their local store.

It looks like the retailer will get more stock in 2022. Fingers crossed.

EA dropped the good news of the new edition, plus the official trailer just hours ahead of the Euros final back in July, while also confirming a number of new gameplay features – including “hypermotion” technology, described by the EA as “the biggest animation refresh in Fifa history”.

If you want a TV that’s very literally perfect for your PS5, Sony has announced a series of “perfect for PS5” televisions that will make games look extra special.

The TVs in the “perfect for PS5” are basically all the Bravia XR  models, including the A80J, A90J, X90J, X95J and Z9J.

When the TVs are updated in January 2022, they will bring onboard auto HDR tone mapping and an auto low-latency mode, perfect for gaming.
