Sony has released a new firmware update for the PlayStation 5. Those booting their consoles, you will see PS5 update 22.02-06.00.01 show up and it’s a small download. Given we just got a load of fresh new features from last month’s firmware update, don’t expect anything out of the ordinary from this one.

As one might expect from an unannounced Sony PS5 firmware rollout, this one only has one changelog and it’s what players already know:
- This system software update improves system performance.
Yep, that’s about it. Given the recent PS5 jailbreak that transpired a few days ago, this might probably be connected to it, as Sony would want to patch out any vulnerabilities ASAP.
