The PS5 was released in November 2020 in the US, UK, Europe, and other major markets. However, stock shortages exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic have resulted in the console being difficult to obtain, and even 10 months on, it’s still not readily available globally.
Sony recently rolled out the new PS5 system software update, which adds support for M.2 SSDs and other key features.
