Rangers will broadcast approximately 160 games on Bally Sports Southwest, formerly known as FSSW

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The Texas Rangers will broadcast approximately 160 of their 162 regular season games on Bally Sports Southwest, formerly known as Fox Sports Southwest, the team announced Monday.

There remains no resolution, however, to the conflict that has removed the network from most streaming services.

Dave Raymond and C.J. Nitkowski will once again be the primary play-by-play and analyst pairing with Emily Jones as the primary field reporter. Tom Grieve and former Rangers outfielder David Murphy will also serve as analysts on select broadcasts.

The network will continue to deliver “Rangers Live” pregame and postgame coverage anchored by a rotation of John Rhadigan, Dana Larson and Sarah Merrifield. Murphy and other former Rangers – Mark McLemore, Mike Bascik and Steve Buechele – will serve as pre- and post-game analysts.

Spring notes: DH Khris Davis was hit in the shoulder with a pitch Monday that then ricocheted and hit his helmet. He went down to the ground, but quickly got up. He left the game but manager Chris Woodward said there were no immediate health concerns.

– RHP Joe Gatto, whom the Rangers signed as a major league free agent though he’d never pitched above Double-A, cleared waivers and was assigned to the Triple-A Round Rock roster. It creates a much-needed spot on the 40-man roster.

– LF David Dahl also left Monday’s game at Colorado after three innings. He fouled a ball off his right knee and was removed as a “precaution.”

– CF Eli White made a fantastic diving catch in center field.
