Raspberry Pi squeezed into Mini Retro PC Terminal

The Raspberry Pi is full. The Raspberry Pi, which is a very small, and simple computer that uses a credit card and is affordable. This week, maker and developer Carter Hurd contacted Tom’s Hardware to tell us his own idea of the concept. This includes a new retro computer, which uses a retro PC-to-apple speaker.

The mini PC features a Raspberry Pi 3B as the main driver and a blackberry keyboard for input. Everything was going well, so Hurd put up some mounting brackets and adding to the build, as well as a bezel for a Quadpixel.

The project is made with a doom Ditoo brand’s Bluetooth speaker, with a Retro Pixel Art Game Bluetooth speaker. Hurd had to remove a lot of the original interior components, including the main driver board, the original screen and the button assembly. The new mods allow it to function as a PC rather than a simple replica.

The new build is powered by a Raspberry Pi 3B in a screen, along with a Blackberry keyboard from Solder Party. The display is shaped with a custom made curved cover (created with a thermoplastic) that adds a rounded, retro-looking monitor.

In terms of software, you could run any OS on here you want. Hurd decided to use Raspberry Pi, but there is no reason why you couldn’t use that type of computer like diet or RetroPie. Since the 3B is in it, you can always add a Bluetooth controller and use this as a small retro gaming rig.

If you want to create this Raspberry Pi project, you will succeed. Hurd has shared a detailed video about the build process, which can be followed by me to do it myself. The 3D printed files weren’t shared but you could make them at home or build a new solution for the components to fit together. If you’re looking for a cool, retro-themed Pi project to dig into, give this one a try.
