Razer Edge 5G: Develops handheld gaming with Verizon

Gaming handhelds are apparently becoming the new fad. After Logitech, Razer, the partner of Verizon, is working on a gaming handheld now. And this piece of machinery has its own special charm.

Logitech had just announced its own gaming device with a focus on streaming, G Cloud and Verizon and Razer are following suit with their own device already. As part of the Mobile World Congress in Las Vegas, Verizon announced the Razer Edge 5G that will be launched jointly with Razer and Qualcomm.

BREAKING: @Verizon, @Razer and @Qualcomm are working together on the world’s first mobile gaming handheld, 5G! It’ll allow you to play your favorite games while you play the cloud or on a smartphone, which also allows you to play from the computer or other device. https://t.co/TYPw5xFyeF pic.twitter.com/F9Vg3CfABl/Twsk/ and x86cfBb/, if not for download.

In contrast to the Logitech device, the Razer Edge 5G should not only provide streaming, but also support local downloads. It is also the first handheld that has 5G capabilities. The Razer Edge 5G resembles Android as an operating system, and the new Snapdragon G3X Gen 1 is the processor.

There aren’t yet known when, where and at what price the device will be launched. The developers plan on getting the information on at RazerCon in October 15th.
