Resident Evil Village was the first game in Capcom’s long-running horror brand to be released on PlayStation 5, and it looks incredible on the new console. But what about the series’ prior games? The publisher doesn’t appear to be abandoning its last-gen titles, as they’re all getting native PS5 editions.
Perhaps this will tide us all over until Capcom tells us more about that Village DLC, yeah? Will you play these Resi games once again on PS5? Pop some heads in the comments section below.
To be clear, that’s Resident Evil 7: Biohazard as well as remakes Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. Each of these games is getting a PS5 version, as announced on social media this afternoon: There isn’t a release window pencilled in for these new-gen ports, only that they’re coming later this year. As stated in the above tweet, the PS5 versions of these three games will come with “visual enhancements”, and best of all, owners of the PS4 games will be able to upgrade for no additional cost.
