Resident Evil 4 Remake is coming to Xbox One after all, according to an Amazon listing. While the game hasn’t been officially confirmed for the last-gen console, it appears that Capcom is poised to make an announcement, as the store page and box art for the game claims that it will be playable on Xbox One, as well as Series X/S.
This comes after Resident Evil 4 was confirmed for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, but curiously, not Xbox One. Capcom said it was “looking into” the possibility of a last-gen release, starting with the PS4. It appears that the company has ironed out any issues it encountered with the Microsoft console, and is now prepared to launch the remake across five different platforms at once.
This discovery was made over on r/GamingLeaksAtRumours, with Reddit user Lucaz82 sharing the Amazon link. Interestingly, this shows that the PS4 version is the only one that isn’t available for pre-order, although we already know it will be on the platform when it launches.
Twitter user @JamieMoranUK also shared that the listing has been live for as long as a month already, with the Xbox One version spotted on Amazon on August 26.
It’s possible that Capcom is planning a separate trailer for the last-gen releases, as it’s likely there will have to be some technical downgrades in order for it to function on older hardware. The company probably won’t want that being associating with the current-gen versions, even though it seems the disk will work on both generations.
Of course, this also reveals how much the game should cost. According to the listing, Resident Evil 4 Remake will be available for £59.99, and is currently on sale for £54.95.
Whatever the case, Resident Evil 4 remake is set to launch 24 March, 2023.
