During today’s Nintendo Direct event, Nintendo revealed cloud versions of Resident Evil Village (called “Resident Evil Village Cloud”) and three other titles including Resident Evil VII: Biohazard will be releasing later this year!
Nintendo has also confirmed that the new DLC for Resident Evil Village, titled “Winters’ Expansion,” will be releasing in December for Resident Evil Village Cloud as well!

Resident Evil Village Cloud
The entire Resident Evil series from Resident Evil 0 to Resident Evil Village will soon be playable on Nintendo Switch. Capcom and Nintendo have confirmed during the Nintendo Direct event that cloud versions of four Resident Evil titles will be releasing during 2022 on the Nintendo Switch.
Besides Resident Evil Village Cloud, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 will also be ported to the cloud. Resident Evil Village Cloud releases first on October 28, 2022, with the other titles confirmed to be following later in the same year.
Resident Evil Village Cloud – Winters’ Expansion
Nintendo also revealed the new DLC for Resident Evil Village announced in June will come to Resident Evil Village Cloud in December! Titled “Winters’ Expansion,” the DLC introduces a new third-person mode, three new characters including Lady Dimitrescu for the Mercenaries mode, and a new scenario termed “Shadow of Rose” following protagonist Ethan Winters’ daughter Rose. The DLC also includes a bonus “Street Wolf” outfit for Rose.
The Winters’ Expansion will be released for Resident Evil Village Cloud on December 2, 2022.
Resident Evil Village is available for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Stadia. A macOS version will also be releasing later in 2022.
