Resident Evil Village’s Lady D Has Been Made A Bit Shorter For Mercenaries Mode

Resident Evil Village director Kento Kinoshita has revealed that Lady Dimitrescu has been made slightly shorter for her appearance as a playable character in the upcoming Mercenaries content in the Winters’ Expansion.

Speaking with Polygon, Kinoshita-san revealed that Lady D’s height, which stands a towering 9ft 6 inches, was a bit of a problem during development. As such, a few tweaks were made to accommodate the villainess.

Lady Dimitrescu’s height brought up a lot of challenges during development, but in the end we were able to implement her with a giant stature, taller than any of the other characters.

For The Mercenaries, it’s necessary that the player can control their character easily, and to make that possible we did adjust her height to a little under nine feet tall. At that height, the player just barely avoids bumping into the ceiling.
