Rocket League Esports returns to the RLCS 22-23 MENA Fall Open

This weekend marks the beginning of the RLCS 22-23 season for players in the Middle East & North Africa region. After a long off-season, the teams will hope their hard work will yield a huge return for the Middle Eastern Titans, the team Falcons.

Together with the $3,00 prize pool, the teams are fighting for the vital RLCS points to qualify for the Fall Major, which will be held in Rotterdam later this year. Teams can earn up to sixteen points per week at this event. With only one space available for the MENA area at the Major, teams have tremendous pressure on each regional team to perform well. There is no place for errors or they will miss out on the spot.

WMENA Fall-Open Format & Dates.

In the same way as last season, the regional tournaments which RLCS will break down are all part of the regional divisions – all have Swiss-System format. The top sixteen seeded teams will compete for a Swiss Qualifier on October 1st, where the top 8 will qualify for the Main Event. The remaining eight teams competes in the next Swiss Closed Qualifier against eight teams coming from the Open Qualifier. The eight teams which can go through that round will qualify for the main event as well.

The main event will have a similar format to the qualifying. The 16 teams are competing in the Swiss Stage, where the top 8 will be seeded into a single elimination bracket, which will be played on Saturday and Sunday. In the final of last year the winner saw the best of 3 sets for the best of 7 (as well as the best of 2 against 7) to win the top prize. The final will be the single best of 7.

A lot of events have been made.

  • Day 1 Friday Seventh October (05 p.m. )
  • Day 2: Saturday 8th October (15 o’clock UTC)
  • Day three Sunday 9th October (15:00 UTC)

Young Superstar can’t participate in Nwpo-Banned Young Superstars.

Many fans was excited to watch hisham Nwpo Alqadi, whose greatest hope was he finally took down the flims. His old team, Cola, was the only team who could win all season. They actually managed to beat them twice in consecutive regional events, but they could only do it in the upper class and were losing both of the final two times in a bracket reset.

He was preparing for the Major spot he’d formed in the meantime, with the young twins Yazid and Kiileerrz Abdullah and Saleh Rw9 Abdullah. A trio that appeared to rival Falcons in regional competition, created a team and beat the team down. As such, last week Psyonix announced that due to his past actions that violated the competitive decision, Nwpo will receive a year-long ban from the RLCS, so unfortunately that this season cannot compete. The twins look for a third-place replacement before season begins, but for I’m sure that even without Nwpo I’m sure they’ll still be one of the best teams in the region.

Falcons continue to dominate their control.

This devastating news for Nwpo and his team will certainly impact the region. It might also help the Falcons who will now be smart favourites to continue on their outstanding nine win streak in the Regional Championships. The level of dominance in the 21 and 22 rounds was never in the world. The team beat Team BDS record by an impressive 5 out of nine regional competitions in Europe in the 2000-1990.

Despite their regional dominance, Team Falcons will still be hungrier than ever. After the World Championships finished second in World championships, this team hasn’t yet a lot to prove. They were fighting harder than ever to make sure they didn’t miss out on the qualification spot for the fall Major in Rotterdam. They can’t afford to take any team lightly in a world where teams are constantly improving.
