Neil Druckmann, the developer of The Last of Us, has teased a new PlayStation 5 game. Unfortunately, this hint, isn’t that interesting. Druckmann’s profile bio on the social media platform includes a reference to “THAT future game.” Who knows what this game is, but it proves that Naughty Dog is working on something new. The million-dollar question is what this game is, but it’s reasonable to presume it’ll be a PS5 exclusive.
For those that don’t know: Druckmann is the co-president of Naughty Dog and its creative director. He’s best known for the creation of The Last of Us, a series he has shepherded so far. He also notably served as a director on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
This game isn’t The Last of Us Part III or Uncharted 5. It’s not even a new Jak and Daxter. Rather, for the first time since 2013, Naughty Dog is working on a new IP, and this is all unauthorised information. The reports do not specify what this IP is, but they do state that the game’s protagonist will be a black figure. This would be a first for Naughty Dog if this is true.
At the moment of publishing, Druckmann hasn’t addressed any of the speculation his Twitter bio has created and we don’t expect this to change for a wide range of reasons. However, if for some reason it does, we will be sure to update the story accordingly. In the meantime, for more coverage on all things PlayStation — including all of the latest news, rumors, and leaks
Hogwarts Legacy, the new Harry Potter game scheduled to release next year via the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. When in 2022, WB Games hasn’t said, but it looks like it may be no sooner than May 1. During a recent interview, Warner Bros. general manager Rachel Wakley seem to suggest the new game will be the franchise’s second major release of 2022, following the next Fantastic Beasts film, which is scheduled to release in April.
