Developer Volition has announced that it’s planning a major Saints Row Autumn Update for November, introducing more than 200 “bug fixes and stability upgrades”, with a focus on challenges, co-op, and overall stability.
Quality of life changes are also being lined up, with oft-requested improvements, addressing activity repetition, making challenges more rewarding, improving vehicle management, and more.
“We are supporting Saints Row for the long-term, and while we’d have preferred to be talking about roadmaps and expansions, right now we feel the focus must be on telling you how we’re going to improve the Saints Row experience for all players in 2022 and beyond,” Volition stated in a new blog post.
“But there’s a lot more we want to do, and right now our development priority is delivering improvements over new features,” the article adds. “In keeping with that, we’re going to ship our first major update in late November to pack in as many improvements and fixes as we can.”
A clearer explanation for when co-op becomes available and other improvements based upon community feedback are also in the pipeline, and in the meantime, the first cosmetic pack, the ‘Front to Back’ DLC, will be available this week, free to all players. More free cosmetic packs will also be arriving this year, alongside additional packs for Expansion Pass owners.
The Saints Row Expansion Pass – when it launches – will grant access to a range of content, including all-new story stuff, as Volition looks to support the game into 2023 and beyond. Saints Row is available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, attracting more than one million players to date.
