Related: Scarlet Nexus Min. Requirements Are Very Low Bandai Namco deployed the aforementioned demo at the end of May, releasing it on Xbox a few days ahead of its PlayStation rollout. The trial version, which remains available to download, allows users to play as one of the two leading characters – Yuito Sumeragi or Kasane Randall. Scarlet Nexus’ action-packed gameplay mechanics, psychokinesis abilities, various allies, and several story beats feature in the experience, as well. And impressions of the Scarlet Nexus demo have been predominantly positive across the board, with players especially lauding the fast-paced gameplay that many describe as Devil May Cry-esque in nature.

Naturally, budding hype for the anime-styled adventure leaves onlookers curious about other facets of Scarlet Nexus, particularly with regards to its technical capabilities. ElAnalistaDeBits, then, crafted a comparison video highlighting the differences between the PS5 and Series X|S iterations. According to the analysis, the PS5 version loads Scarlet Nexus’ demo in 4.5 seconds, compared to the 7.2 and 7.4 seconds it takes to load on Series X and Series X, respectively. The drawback is that Scarlet Nexus on PS5 apparently makes more noise than other titles. ElAnalistaDeBits additionally noted PS5 and Series X run the RPG at 2160p, while Series S boasts a resolution of 1440p. And though 60FPS remains stable for the most part, the YouTuber occasionally noticed frame drops during combat. Scarlet Nexus comes to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on June 25.

Scarlet Nexus takes place in a distant future, where a psionic hormone in the brain grants some humans with special abilities. Mutants entered the picture in droves soon after the discovery, wanting nothing more than to feed on the unique brain matter. For their part, players assume the role of new recruits for the Others Suppression Force – an organization tasked with bringing order to the Mutant-induced chaos. Of all the titles ElAnalistaDeBits has tested, thus far, Scarlet Nexus seems to feature the fewest differences between versions. This level of relative parity shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, however. The game appears to have no interest in raising the bar in terms of graphics or performance, evidenced in part by the incredibly low minimum PC requirements. As noted above, though, players are in for a treat when it comes to the core gameplay experience.
