The direct transfer of data between the players has become a hassle. The transfer from the memory card helps reduce the volume of processing power. Microsoft announced the technology on the same time as the Xbox One console | S, and now it’s already in active use in console games. For the game Scorn, directStorage technology is available in Xbox Series X | S.
Interestingly, the game Scorn will receive support for DirectStorage technology not only for Xbox One X | S, but also for PC. The developers at Ebb have announced their game will get support for Windows, which will be released on October 21st. Thus, Scorn is the first directstorage-based game to be released on PC.
It was supposed that Forspoken would be the first game to support directstorage on PC, but the game was rescheduled several times.
