Sega Delays Humankind’s Release On PS5, PS4 Indefinitely

The release of Humankind on PS5, PS4 and other consoles has been delayed indefinitely by Sega, it announced on Thursday.

According to Sega the delay has come from development of the console versions experiencing “some unique challenges.”

“We apologize for the inconvenience but rest assured that Sega Europe, Amplitude Studios and Aspyr are working hard to bring the best possible Humankind experience to console players.” Sega said in a statement.

“We can’t give a timeframe on a new release date right now, but as soon as we are in a position to do so, we will let everyone know and we thank the community for their continued support and understanding.”

Humankind has already been available for customers to pre-purchase, and “where applicable in line with platform policy,” according to Sega, players can potentially get a refund if they so wish.

The strategy game has been on available on PC since 2021, so it’ll be good to finally see it come to consoles when its ready.
