Ubisoft has announced that Skull and Bones has been delayed.
The game was first announced in 2017, and was only recently re-revealed and given a November 2022 release date. However, now the game has been pushed back to a planned launch on March 9, 2023.
While the game development is finished at this stage, the extra time will be used to further polish and balance the experience using players’ feedback, the publisher said.
An Open Beta will be held ahead of the game’s launch. Players will have the opportunity to discover the game’s unique take on the piracy fantasy, its naval combat as well as the seas of the 17th century Indian Ocean.
Skull and Bones will be available on PS5, Xbox X|S, and Windows PC through the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store, Stadia and Amazon Luna.
