ESO V: Skyrim (also known as ‘Skyrim’) is a legendary Bethesda game whose original release dates back more than a decade.
Over the years, the game has been receiving multiple updates and versions for new consoles and platforms. One of the most recent Skyrim updates is the ‘Anniversary Edition’.

More specifically, ESO V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is currently crashing and freezing on Nintendo Switch for many players.

Anyone have any luck improving fps on AE switch?
If anyone’s been able to do anything to improve their frame rates lmk please! I’ve been playing and loving the new update, but definitely my experience is being slightly dampened by the terrible fps drops.

Anyone else playing Skyrim Anniversary Edition on Switch?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m enjoy the additional content that the Anniversary Edition provides but I’m also experiencing more crashes and frame rate issues. I’m wondering if anyone else is having the same experience?

Performance issues are noticeably affecting the experience for many players. Before the Anniversary Edition, Skyrim was reportedly much more fluid and stable on the platform.

While a fix arrives, there are some potential workarounds you can try. Firstly, some players recommend playing with the console in the dock and lowering the ‘look sensitivity’ values.

Someone suggested to completely turn your Switch off(holding the power button for 4 seconds and picking the “turn off” option), and it actually worked for me.

As a last resort, you can try a reinstallation of the game:
Maybe check for corrupt and then, even if it doesn’t find anything, just redownload as it will offer that. That’s how I fix occasional Minecraft lag and sometimes other games
