Snip3down regrets leaving Apex after feeling lied to by major esports rule change

A sudden change in the prize pool of the World Series, just a week before beginning the second day, caused the former Apex Legendscompetitor Snip3down to feel exasperated with the HCS organizers. A fundraising boost to the base $1 million prize pool, promised since the start of the first competitive season ofHalo Infinites, backtracked with the last minute, leaving him regretting a move away from competition inApex.

Only a week before Worlds and their parents decide to take away crowdfunding, wanted to be lied to when I decided to make the switch. Never would have left Apex https://t.co/2hHdtbeNW4?

Just a week before worlds and they decide to abandon crowdfunding, he wrote in a post that prompted the announcement. Wish I wasn’t lied when I decided to make the switch. I could never be back by a third party.

Other pro players who came to the Halo scene reflected his feelings. Even those less impressed with the smaller prize pool at the World Championship, calling the lack of communication and the backtrack on an offer in place since day one an embarrassing display. This seemed like a slap in the face, said FaZe Clans Spartan. The sale was advertised as $1,000,000 plus crowdfunding. Sigh.

When some fans raked out Snip3down for their reason to switch to Halo Infinite, or to Guardians whose value tieched the surge of the prize pool created, the winnings grew from 100 to 250. This is not. A day after the announcement broke, he continued to vent his frustration, reminding the situation to your employer promising something all year, and then a week before your paycheck, just said goodbye, we’ll put it toward next year and expect you to hold any trust in them, in one reply.

The lack of trust in the HSBC is no doubt due to more than just the crowdfunding crisis, Halo Infinites first year being hit by the game itself and the online tournaments that were beaten by servers and customs play instability. Just last week, the format for the World Championship was changed after the original plan for the tournament weekend was slammed by pro players because of lack of match and opportunities for teams that struggled in pool play.

What Snip 3downs frustrations mean for his career after World Championships is unclear. But because his regrets are off-time, he is not happy to return to Halo from Apex with the launch of Infinite. It would be amazing if he finds the opportunity to get the chance back into the battle royale again in the future.
