In case you were still buying DLCs and digital games from PS3, Vita, and PSP stores, you might not be able to do it later this year. According to sources speaking to The Gamer website, Sony may close these stores by July or August this year. The official announcement from Sony is said to arrive in the coming days. The report states that while the PS3 and PSP stores may close on July 2, the Vita store may keep operating till the end of August this year. There is no clarity on why Sony has kept different dates to shutter these online stores.
It is worth adding that while a lot of older titles can be purchased on PS4 and PS5 via the PlayStation Network, several others will no longer be available to download since they were only released digitally.

Meanwhile, Sony has unveiled its next-generation PS5 VR controllers. These are built using the same adaptive trigger technology that is available in the company’s DualSense wireless controller.
The newly launched PS5 VR controllers feature an orb-shaped design, which as per the company offers a higher degree of freedom to the players. Each VR controller comes with an adaptive trigger button that adds tension when pressed. In addition to this, the newly introduced VR controllers come with haptic feedback, which Sony says has been optimised for its form factor.
These VR controllers will not be available for sale anytime soon. Instead, Nishino says that they ‘will be in the hands of the development community soon.’
